This installation in Dresden Germany by artist Hannes Broecker is brilliant, each wall frame is filled with a different adult beverage. Stacked in the middle of the gallery are glasses, and the visitor walks up to the various artworks and fills their glass from a tap on the bottom. By the time the event is over, the frames are empty.

 heathrow airport's new terminal 5 will open to the public on march 27th. the building is designed by richard rogers and will be the new home for british airways. to accompany the opening, six artworks will be installed throughout the terminal, curated by artwise curators. these six pieces are being conceived by troika, el ultimo grito, christopher pearson and oona cully. 'cloud' , the troika installation is 'a five meter long digital sculpture whose surface is covered with 4638 flip-dots that can be individually addressed by a computer to animate the entire skin of the sculpture'.

the result is a shimmering form which was meant to mark the transition between the terminal's shopping area and the lounge.

Octopus Studios , a furniture and aquarium design firm is offering the Silverfish Aquarium, a modular design fish tank.

Each one is custom made and will cost you $3400. It comes with extensive instructions for installation.

The fish tank is designed for fresh-water fish and can hold up to 60 gallons of water. It is completely self contained, coming with everything necessary to allow your fish to go all over the place for entertainment.

Florian Krautli's magnetic curtains design is something that makes interior designers queasy. The idea behind these curtains is to allow the owner to shape the curtains however desired, thus providing the perfect amount of light, separation and such. Then again, the magnetic curtains would eliminate any kind of smooth, swooping lines that curtains are accustomed to and interior designers thrive off of.
